Please watch our video to see and hear more about MUSE:

The idea for MUSE was born in 1973 when an invitation to sing in a Newton, Massachusetts nursing home led lyric tenor, Paul Wiggin to
recognize the need for music of the highest quality to enrich the lives of elders in nursing homes and adult day healthcare facilities as well

as Alzheimer's care facilities. Incorporated in 1974 as a non-profit organization, MUSE responded to this need through the concept of

concert visits by professional classically trained, self-accompanied soloists combining the art of song with friendship.

From one singer serving two homes in 1974, MUSE grew to over 10 singers providing over 1500 concert-visits each year to 175 nursing

homes in 100 Eastern Massachusetts communities. In recent years, MUSE has maintained a program serving local elder care facilities,

as well as training new MUSEsingers who can replicate the MUSE program in other communities, states and countries around the world.

Our singers are each gifted in their own way with classically trained voices and warm, caring personalities.

Elyse O'Connor's soprano voice has been described as a lush rainbow prism of clear tones resonating through depths of emotion.

Listeners have been drawn to her confident and agile interpretation of songs in crossover genres - Broadway, classical, folk, Celtic, pop,

Spiritual, Blues, international and the American Songbook.  Elyse has completed two graduate degrees at Simmons College, and has years     of experience singing for Greater Boston audiences of all ages.  Elyse may be reached for booking by emailing

Duane Sullivan has been involved in show business since 1982, as a professional actor and singer/musician. After graduating from New

England Conservatory in 1990 as a vocal performance major, Duane made the performing arts his full-time profession. Also appearing in

local musicals Forever Plaid, Pirates of Penzance and more recently, Candy Theatre Productions, Duane's MUSE performances are also

engaging, and with a musical style and repertoire derived from his study of classical music, his immersion in musical theater, his love of rhythm and blues, his church choir experience, as well as singing pop songs from the turn-of-the-century gay Nineties to the present day.
