APPLY FOR THE ANTS MUSE SCHOLARSHIP!

$1000 FOR YOUR ANTS EDUCATION and DEVELOP YOUR MINISTRY IN MUSIC

MUSE, Inc. provides an art and music service of song and friendship for the shut-in and institutionalized elderly, especially the financially neediest, featuring high quality singers in solo performance, coupled with friendly, personal interchange between singer and each member of the audience; involving nursing homes, adult/day health care centers, their neighbors, the community and the families of the elderly.

The MUSE Scholarship is designed for an ANTS student implementing music and work with the elderly into their ministry.  The student receiving the scholarship will have the following responsibilities: performance at “Forever MUSE” 35th Anniversary Concert on 11/21/2009 and two performances for the elderly by June 2010.

Eligibility requirements:

  • ANTS affiliated student in good standing (M.A., M.Div., DMin., Special Students)
  • Singer, a cappella or self-accompanied by hand-held instrument

Materials for application:

  • Two short written statements, maximum 500 words combined for both statements:
    • How do you envision your ministry with elders?
    • How will/does music enhance or inform your ministry?
  • Resume
  • Audition

For finalist applicants, auditions will be held on Thursday 10/22 and Monday 10/26. Auditioning applicants will receive further detailed information. Scholarship recipient will be notified by 11/1.

The first winner of the Paul W. Wiggin Scholarship will be awarded at the concert Forever MUSE: Celebrating 35 Years on November 21, 2009.
