Elyse O’Connor
Elyse O’Connor’s voice has been described as a lush rainbow prism of clear tones resonating through depths of emotion. Thousands of listeners have been drawn to her confident and agile interpretation of songs in crossover genres-new age, blues, classical, Celtic, folk pop, Broadway, spiritual, international, and the American Songbook.
For more than two decades, this soprano has met the challenges of dual talents in language and in music and has in effect pursued two careers simultaneously: She has worked as an adjunct faculty in undergraduate writing and literature at two major universities– Boston University and the University of Massachusetts Boston-and has spent time in between as a concert singer and private music student and teacher. Having completed two graduate degrees at Simmons College of Boston and years of experience singing for Boston audiences of all ages, Elyse continues her service as a MUSE singer, as she has for many years.
